Writing Our Story…

It is now November, where has this year gone?   There have been so many changes for so many people thru this year.  I have watched friends change their marital status, change their jobs either by choice or circumstance, change their looks, change where they live, and  even their beliefs.   Yes it has truly been a year of transformation and change…and it is not over.  There is a very powerful day coming soon…11/11/11.  Many say there will be an amazing shift for the planet.  I for one believe this.  A few years ago I would have asked shift??  What are you talking about??  So I guess, no I know, I also have gone thru many changes.  Funny I was the person so many years ago who hated change…seems like in the last 5 years I have changed some of the most major things any one person can change (and I might add, more than once).

Some people believe that their entire life is just one journey…and for them it might be simple, they are born, go to school, work, marry,  have kids, retire and then pass to the other side.  To them it is very simple and well maybe even laid out infront of them.  Then there are those that start asking the questions…Is this all there is to life?  Or how did I get to this stale and complacent place?  If I only have this one life to live…then I want to make a difference.   These are the people who saw a life laid out and said no way I want to rewrite my story.  I want to live, breathe, feel and experience great love.  I myself have been rewriting my story for a while now, and I must say that everyday I find something wonderful about the day, if not many things.  Tomorrow I leave on a journey.  One that has been in the making for a very long time.  I guess you could say that I am rewriting even more of my story.  I do not know what will happen on this journey.   I do know that I am choosing to do things that are important to me, to be true to me, to honor me.  That in itself is huge in my book of this life.  I also know that I will be at Stondhenge on 11/11/11.  I think on this I will say to be continued…

I have chosen a pair of quartz crystal earrings to feature with this article.  Why, because quartz is awesome for helping to clear out the old, clean and energize you…so that if you choose to start rewriting your story, you may have a little help.  Many blessings and much love to all…Randi

Life is a Carnival

The Band sang a song once talking about Life being a Carnival…Take your best shot was one of the lines in the song if memory serves me correctly.  Well life is a carnival, and sometimes at the carnival we have a blast and sometimes we eat too much cotton candy and get sick as a dog!!  I have been there on both sides of the fence.  I have also been on both sides of the life fence…and can imagine that I still will be.  How we look at our life is what is important!!!

As I write this right now there is a young woman who is on her way for chemo treatment…she is a bright star…and today while she is sitting there with a machine hooked up to her arm….I can imagine that she will make everyone smile.  Tomorrow or the next day she will not feel so well as this chemical goes into her body to do what it will do to help the battle this disease.  She will most likely go into her self and deal with the after effects of the “treatment” or the day at the carnival where we ate too much candy.  I know that during this down time, this young woman will take to the time to realease  some old stuff and continue to do what is best for her…because this dis-ease has taught he to do just that.  She will take these moments of being low and let herself be surrounded by love.

We plan these great lives for ourselves, and I am not saying that we shouldn’t, while we thought we were writing our own play, and in complete total control and balance something comes along and knocks us on our feet…well folks it is called life.  How we handle that is part of our learning.   At 50 did I write the story of being divorced twice and no longer owning a home…maybe I did and maybe I didn’t, but the one thing I can tell you is that we move on.  it is our life and we can see it as a great day at the carnival or a day where the fried Twinkies and cotton candy got to us.  Live you life with grace and ease,  look at your down days with a smile as much as your up days…because those down days as a friend of mine has told me…give us time to come back to who we really are…many hug with much love to all… Randi

Turquoise and amethyst…

I really wanted to write about frustration, but when I found myself getting flustered over the subject, well I decided that really this was not the topic to blog on!!  So instead I am going to write on one of my new favorite combination, turquoise and amethyst.  This combination is fabulous, both in color and in properties.  I generally find myself using green turquoise because of it’s heart chakra help, but the green just seems to sing, especially when put with the yummy purple of amethyst.

Turquoise, one of the oldest stones around is a stone about wholeness, communication and truth.  It is also great for bringing about total well being and elevating moods.  It helps us by teaching wisdom of compassion and forgiveness.  Amethyst has been known for it’s amazing energies for thousands of years.  It is about purification, protection and divine connection.  It is a stone of spiritual protection as well as as a stone for enhancement of one’s physical environment.  It stimulates the crown chakra and can help in meditation.  Amethyst can also clean one’s field from negative energy.   Hopefully you now see why this is one of my favorite combinations!!

Well this was much more fun to write about than frustration… so in closing go check out www.randibling.com and if you can’t find what you’re looking for then come and see me either at Pass-a-Grille market this Friday and Saturday or Corey Avenue market on Sunday.  many hugs with much love to you all…Randi

Walking, calm the beach…

While walking on the beach yesterday, I had so many thoughts running through my head…nothing uncommon being an Aquarian.  The one thing that I did know was that being on the beach with my feet in the sand was calming and grounding.   I spent time focused on the water and watching the waves as they came in and out as well as the sparkle of the sun shinning brightly on the water.  There was certainly a peace out there, a peace that I was grateful to experience.   I noticed we all seem to be in a state of confusion/chaos at the holiday season…and I really don’t understand why?!   If we look at what this is really all about…it’s about being with family and friends, but then shouldn’t we do that everyday?  Peace and calm and harmony, it’s what we should all strive for.  We can find that peace and calm anywhere, we just have to look for it instead of pushing it away.  I hope that we can all find some peace and harmony this season, and be grateful for our love ones, whether they are our family or our extended family. What I do know is that we should laugh as much as we can while we can, live for every moment is precious and love, yep the one that gets us hurt…well love with open abandon to everyone that matters to you!!   many hugs with much love to all…~Randi

Earrings…To be symetrical or Not??

Earrings are some of my favorite things to make, somedays!!  There are so many styles to choose from and sometimes I just don’t know which way to create.  Some people like them small, some like them large and long.  My mom thinks the bigger and funkier the better.  My favorite thing about earings, they don’t have to be symetrical.   I have my aunt Teasa to thank for this thought process.  Many years ago she gave me my first pair of non-symetrical earrings and I still have them to this day.

I like to think of non-symetrical as balance…the possibility of yin and yang.  There are times when my earrings are made symetrical.  Yes, it is because there are people that need everything to match, and I appreciate you.  But then there are those of us, who somewhere want something just a bit different…enter the yin and yang of  my earrings.    Sometimes the design is very obvious, and sometimes like in these Peruvain opal and swarovski crystal earrings the differences are very subtle.  Hope you enjoy!!
