Calm Blue Ocean…

Well it seems to be time to write again…and I must admit, the last couple of days have been interesting for everyone I know.   With all of this moon energy, the eclispe and just a shift in lots of everything…I head to the beach to walk.  I find peace and solice there, and if not peace then atleast a moment or two where the waves drown out the thoughts roaming in my head and the sun fills  my soul.   For myself personally these past couple of days have been  a time of looking and reflecting and yep, growth once again.   Asking myself, what is it that I really want.  You would think with all of the asking and searching that I have been doing…I would find the answers…well I believe that I did (atleast for this moment in my Aquarian life).   I found that I want peace and harmony and at all costs.   I found that I truly want to honor myself and not settle for anything because I am worth it.  I found that whether  I am with a special person in my life or without that the person that I have to be honest and gentile to is myself.  We are so hard on ourselves at times, hearing the tapes of our past …did we do the right thing, what will they think…yada yada yada…well I ask you WHO gives a rats ass what anyone thinks…other than yourself.    And those tapes, they were put there by someone who either really didn’t love us or was jealous of us…so with this moon I say get rid of those damn tapes!!    So in honor of those many walks on the beach that I have been taking…I named this new piece “Calm Blue Ocean”.  She is made with jaspers and agates.  She is grounding but more than that she is a piece that says…”I am Worth it!!”    I will be at 3rd Friday Music Series in Saftey Harbor this Friday in front of Harbor Accents come out and see me.   Everyone enjoy the full moon…in all her glory and many hugs with much love to you all…Randi

Balance and a Happy 2011!!

So the holidays are over, well for some of us they are.  Me personally I am getting ready to celebrate a year that I never thought in my younger days I would see!!!  Yep one of those wonderful milestones, as we call them when you get to these numbers…lol!!  I don’t understand why, oh yeah it’s that we made it through our stupid years, our years of I can do anything with no fear…where we ran at mock one or higher just to see if we could.  We had no balance.  Then once we realize that we either are or are not indestructible we hit the next phase or our life…the “Working World”.  Yikes, to some of us money and things become very important to us, we again run like the wind, hoping to set the world on fire with our talents, burning our selves at both ends and never finding the middle and of course looking for approval. We try to balance family, career and anything else that life seems to throw at us. With all of this comes the lessons and gifts of life, some very easy, some not so easy…the one that has escaped me until now, balance.  Finally after almost 50 years I am learning about balance, the lack of and the increasing search for it, and now that I am finding it, how it can change your life. I have found some pretty important things along my way, balance has become a very important one.  I wish that for all of you, you find balance in whatever it is you do…in this year of 2011!!  Many hugs with much love to all…

The Folk Festival

The past weekend was a great weekend to be outside.  There was no better place to be than the Folk Festival in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida.  Friday night was festive with friends watching and listening to the Indigo Girls…let me say they were awesome!!  I had great booth space for the next two days…while not inside the lined off area, I was sitting in between the big red bougainvillea and the really cool purple flowers…and in the shade!!  Not only was I surrounded by color but also a breeze!  It couldn’t have been any better than if I had ordered it special…lol!!

The people that I met were really neat and some made special places in my heart over those two days.  We always need to meet new people and have them to touch our heart…if not how do we grow!   I was gifted to be asked to make a special piece for the mom of a friend…it was a gift and instead of the usual they wanted to do something different…I was honored to be asked…and among all of that lovely color when she saw it…she was moved.  That’s part of what I do…make people happy…make functional jewelry that will bring happiness and joy.  Many hugs with much love to all
