Celebrating life…and how it happens

While I was walking on the beach today I was thinking about my topic for the blog…many things came to mind, talking about a design, beads, the beach, the weather…then came life…and all that I myself had experienced in the last days.  Then the thoughts of friends and their experiences came into my head…there came the topic of celebrating life.  There are many ways to celebrate life… a friend of mine just lost a dear old friend, another friend is experiencing heart ache and yet another friend is celebrating a birthday!!  They are all ways in which we can truly celebrate life…

In the person experiencing the loss of a friend, the stories I heard him tell were stories that warmed my heart and his while he told them.  I could tell that this person had somewhere made an important impact on my friends life, and while he is morning he is also celebrating…knowing that he is grateful to have had this person in his life.  My friend that is experiencing the loss of love, this one sometimes seems tough, but I would rather to have experienced it for just a moment or to than never to have experienced it at all.  Love means never saying your sorry…or does it?   It means loving us for who we are, but remembering that in the end…we love ourselves and grow with whatever we got from our time together.  In the end, it will all work out and something amazing will come from it…sometimes it just takes us time to see this!   Then there is the birthday friend…btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ms. Queen of Glass (you know who you are)…that celebrating of life comes with many things.  Looking back at the past year, how and where did we grow?  Wondering a bit about the future and wondering what the new year will bring with wisdom and laughter, and then ofcourse the day…and all of the glory that this was the day that you came here to be with us and share who you are!!  There are many ways to celebrate life and we should never take for granted that we are special, no matter how we maybe feeling at a certain moment!  many hugs with much love to all…

The Ability to Let Go…

When thinking about stones and their properties, one of my favorite that comes to mind is Labradorite.  There are so many reasons why…first off the color of this stone is amazing with it’s iridescence in the sun light it can truly mystify anyone looking at it.  The colors of this lovely stone range from blues to greys to yellows and greens.  It reallly all depends on how the sun hits it.  Some people know it as black moonstone and  also know it  as a magickal stone, said that when wearing it and making wishes…that they do come true…if you believe.  What I know of this stone is it’s ability to help you to let go…whether it is spiritual, mental of physical.  Letting go some say is easy, I have a friend that says the “letting” is easy…but the “go” that’s the hard part.  I sometimes have to agree with this friend of mine.  This wonderful stone is amazing as far as I am concerned because it has helped me to let go on many occasions.  I  also know that when I work with it…I am always mezmorised.  For more info check the site www.randibling.com.

lovely black stones…

So I have a client that needs a piece of custom work done…something with black bobbles…when I go to look at my stash of black we find so many different things to choose from.  There are black tourmaline rounds and chunks, black agate top drilled squares, lovely black labradorite disks…which one to work with…ah yes and let’s not forget black pearls….decisions, decisions…I feel some silver chain will be involved as well as crystals…and most likely 2 strands…this will be fun…more to come…
