Balance and a Happy 2011!!

So the holidays are over, well for some of us they are.  Me personally I am getting ready to celebrate a year that I never thought in my younger days I would see!!!  Yep one of those wonderful milestones, as we call them when you get to these numbers…lol!!  I don’t understand why, oh yeah it’s that we made it through our stupid years, our years of I can do anything with no fear…where we ran at mock one or higher just to see if we could.  We had no balance.  Then once we realize that we either are or are not indestructible we hit the next phase or our life…the “Working World”.  Yikes, to some of us money and things become very important to us, we again run like the wind, hoping to set the world on fire with our talents, burning our selves at both ends and never finding the middle and of course looking for approval. We try to balance family, career and anything else that life seems to throw at us. With all of this comes the lessons and gifts of life, some very easy, some not so easy…the one that has escaped me until now, balance.  Finally after almost 50 years I am learning about balance, the lack of and the increasing search for it, and now that I am finding it, how it can change your life. I have found some pretty important things along my way, balance has become a very important one.  I wish that for all of you, you find balance in whatever it is you do…in this year of 2011!!  Many hugs with much love to all…

and it’s December…

We go right from Thanksgiving into the month of December…what has happened to the year…we are less than 4 weeks from 2011…OMG!!  I won’t do that whole looking back at the year thing yet…still got time…I will however go into the holiday season bit!!  I’m not going to name then all because if I miss something someone will be hurt or offended and really there is no need for that!!  What I will say is that sometimes I think we really forget what the season is all about…or that maybe we should remember what this is all about and apply it to all year long.  We seem to celebrate more around this time of the year.  My question why don’t we celebrate more…why don’t we celebrate our friends, family, living and breathing everyday with the same zest that we have during the next 4 to 5 weeks.   Are we not grateful for all that this is the rest of the year…or do we just get grateful and celebrate now…

I am greatful everyday and celebrate everyday (in my own way). Funny,  I was not going to honor my holiday of the season,  and then a friend said aren’t you lighting candles…I didn’t feel it…but this is part of my heritage and also part of celebrating who I am.  I am greateful to this friend for wanting to know about my holiday…part of my heritage and childhood.  Are we not to celebrate ever we day what we have, holiday or not??  Everyday that we share a smile, a great conversation, tears aren’t these all things to look at and celebrate…be happy and joyful and love each other…and celebrate all year long…many hugs with much love to all…

lovely black stones…

So I have a client that needs a piece of custom work done…something with black bobbles…when I go to look at my stash of black we find so many different things to choose from.  There are black tourmaline rounds and chunks, black agate top drilled squares, lovely black labradorite disks…which one to work with…ah yes and let’s not forget black pearls….decisions, decisions…I feel some silver chain will be involved as well as crystals…and most likely 2 strands…this will be fun…more to come…
